Terms of Service

This is an English translation of the Japanese 利用規約, provided for reference. If the two versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.

These Terms set out the conditions for using Utadana (the “App”). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. License

The developer of the App (the “Developer”) grants you the right to use the App for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.

2. Your Recordings

The App is intended for recording your own singing and listening back to it privately.

Songs you sing at karaoke are subject to the copyrights and neighboring rights of third parties. If you use recordings made with the App beyond personal use, such as by making them publicly available, distributing them, or selling them, you are responsible for doing so.

Please use your own judgment regarding the rules of the place where you record and consideration for the people with you.

Please use the App’s sharing feature within the scope of personal use, such as sending a recording to someone who was with you or to your teacher. Posting a recording where the general public can view it is a public transmission and is not permitted without the rights holders’ permission. The Developer is not responsible for how shared recordings are handled.

3. Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited:

• Conduct that violates laws, regulations, or public order and morals
• Conduct that infringes the rights of third parties
• Copying, modifying, or decompiling the App
• Interfering with the provision of the App

4. Data Storage and Disclaimer

Recordings made with the App and related information are stored on your device, not on the Developer’s servers. Data may be lost due to device failure, loss, or reset, deletion of the App, operating system updates, or similar causes.

The Developer is not responsible for the loss of or damage to data, except where caused by the Developer’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Please protect important recordings yourself, for example by using your device’s backup features.

5. Support Purchases

The App offers in-app purchases that let you support its development.

These purchases are voluntary support for the Developer and do not provide any features or services in return. You can use every feature of the App without making a purchase.

Orders, payments, and refunds are handled according to Apple’s terms. The Developer is not in a position to decide whether a refund is granted. If you would like a refund, please contact Apple.

Prices are as shown on the App Store. For purchases in Japan, displayed prices include consumption tax.

6. Changes to and Discontinuation of the App

The Developer may change the contents of the App or stop providing it. If the Developer stops providing the App, it will give advance notice to the extent possible.

7. Changes to These Terms

The Developer may change these Terms. Changed Terms take effect when they are posted on this page.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

9. Language

These Terms are written in Japanese, and the Japanese version is the official version. This English version is a translation provided for reference. If the English and Japanese versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.
